Revealing statement by Rana Sanaullah, advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad (Pakistan) – During ‘Operation Sindoor’, when India launched BrahMos missiles at the Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi, Pakistan had only 30 to 45 seconds to determine whether the incoming missiles were carrying nuclear warheads, revealed Rana Sanaullah, advisor to Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He was speaking on a news channel.
Sanaullah stated that such a short window is extremely dangerous for making any critical decision. He admitted that during the India-Pakistan standoff, the risk of nuclear war had escalated significantly.
He added, “I’m not saying that India did a good thing by not using nuclear weapons, but had Pakistan wrongly assumed it was a nuclear attack and responded accordingly, it could have triggered a global nuclear war.”
