Pandharpur – Millions of Warakaris come to Pandharpur on Ashadhi and Kartiki Ekadashi and bow before Shri Vitthal’s holy feet. Presently, Warakaris are coming in ‘Dindi’ on the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi to meet their mother in the form of Shri Vitthal. ‘Dharmakarya’ and patriotism in Warakaris is the true identity of Maharashtra. Warakari Sect has been teaching moral values, protecting culture and nationalism for many centuries. Even now, Warakari Sect is leading to work in the interest of Dharma, Culture and nation. The amenities available at the pilgrimage places like Pandharpur, Alandi, etc. are still not adequate. Besides, the issues like proposal to open a slaughter house at Alandi, infiltration in ‘Wari’, spreading wrong meanings of the shloka written by Saints and misleading people and other related problems are required to be taken up with the State Government and for that, it has been proposed to hold a grand convention of Warakaris on the day of ‘Ashadhi Ekadashi i.e. on 06.07.2025 at Pandharpur. The above information was given by Mr Sunil Ghanwat, the state coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh through a press release.
This convention will be held at Sadguru Shri Gangagiri Maharaj Muth, Bhakti Marg, near Jankalyan Hospital in Pandharpur from 1.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Mahant Guruvarya Parampujya Ramagiri Maharaj will preside over the convention and it will be addressed by many dignitaries in the field viz. a senior ‘Keertankar- Santveer’ HaBhaPa Bandatatya Karadkar, Maharashtra Warakari Mahamandal’s President HaBhaPa Rameshwar Maharaj and its secretary, HaBhaPa Narhari Maharaj Chaudhari, Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Mandir, Pandharpur Sansthan-trustee HaBhaPa Prakash Maharaj Javanjal, Maharashtra Gou-seva Ayog’s Chairman Mr Shekhar Mundada, Jagatguru Shri Sant Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan’s trustee HaBhaPa Manik Maharaj More, Shri Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sansthan, Alandi’s chief trustee Yogi Niranjan Nath, HaBhaPa Chhote Kadam Mauli, HaBhaPa Narendra Maharaj Maske, Shrikshetra Apegaon’s HaBhaPa Vishnu Maharaj Apegaonkar, ‘Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti’s Pradesh-Mahamantri Swami Bharatananda Saraswati Maharaj, Maharashtra Warakari Mahamandal’s Konkan Region-President HaBhaPa Bhagavan Maharaj Kokare, Rashtriya Warakari Parishad’s HaBhaPa Maruti Maharaj Tuntune, and executive president HaBhaPa Bapu Maharaj Raokar, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh State coordinator Sunil Ghanwat, besides many Saints-Mahants, HaBhaPa, Dharmacharyas, and chiefs of pro-Hindu organisations. The issues to be discussed in the convention and topics for giving guidance –
1.All places of pilgrimage including Pandharpur, Dehu, Alandi, Paithan, Muktainagar, etc. should have a ban on sale of liquor and meat. Dharmaprasar by non-Hindus should also be banned within a ten km radius of all these places of pilgrimage.
2. A law against blasphemy should be passed for taking stringent action against those people involved in insulting Saints, Saint-literature, national heroes, Dharma, Deities, etc.
3. The Government should impose a permanent ban on those who are purposely misleading the people by twisting the meanings of the ‘shloka’ written by Saints and spoiling the atmosphere of ‘Wari’.
4. The law prohibiting cow-slaughter should be strictly implemented in Maharashtra to prevent cow-trafficking and slaughter.
5. Law against ‘Love Jihad’ should be passed in the coming monsoon session of the State Legislative Assembly to protect Hindu women.
6. To take action to permanently solve the issue of pollution of rivers like Indrayani and Chandrabhaga.
