Ramnathi (Ponda) – Janata Dal (United)’s MLAs Prof. (Dr) Virendra Yadav and his brother advocate Vasishtha Yadav; Rashtriya Janata Dal’s MLA Kumar Nagendra and independent MLA Sarvesh Kumar were among the MLAs who visited Sanatan’s Ashram on 01.07.2025 along with their families. They are MLAs from Bihar Legislative Council. Sanatan’s seeker Mr Nishad Deshmukh explained to them about various activities and research work undertaken in the ashram related to nation, Dharma, and spirituality. All visitors showed keen interest in getting the information about the ashram.

‘Dharmapracharak’ Saint Sadguru Nilesh Singbal felicitated Prof (Dr) Virendra Yadav and presented shawl, shriphal (coconut) and other gifts; but he and other dignitaries politely refused to accept anything and said that they have come to the abode of God and they should offer their mind and body and help whereas Sanatan was felicitating them. They accepted only ‘prasad’ and books.

After going around the ashram, all dignitaries stated that they all stayed in one housing complex and one of the houses could be converted into such an ashram where they would also extend help as much as possible. They further stated that by learning about the activities of the ashram and Sanatan, they have been motivated to take active part in the activities. They also showed interest in visiting Varanasi seva-kendra and requested to organise discourses in the area in Bihar where they are residing.

We never thought that such ashram could be existing on earth – spontaneous response

After visiting the ashram, they spontaneously expressed their views that they never imagined that such an ashram would be there on earth. Looking at the ‘Om’ sign that has got imprinted on the tiles of the ashram, they thought it was a divine experience.

Highlights

1. Resolve to live thriftily : Observing the cleanliness, good management of the ashram and  seekers’ efforts to perform spiritual practice, the visitors resolved to follow those qualities in their life too. They felt being thrifty is a God’s quality since there is no limit to enjoying worldly things as they realised after observing the ashram life. They said that seekers living in the ashram full time and practising spirituality are great souls.

2. Very good ashram in Goa where Hindu Dharma and culture is being conserved : MLAs Prof (Dr) Virendra Yadav, Kumar Nagendra, Sarvesh Kumar, advocate Vasishtha Yadav and their families stayed in Goa for three days. They said initially they were bored after spending time on beaches and seeing churches for two days and didn’t know how to spend the third day in Goa; but after coming to the ashram, they felt very good. God brought us to the place, the atmosphere of the ashram which was needed by us. Goa is a place, outwardly known for beaches; but after coming to the ashram, they realised that there is a good ashram in Goa where Hindu Dharma and culture is conserved and nurtured.
