“Would anyone dare to insult Islamic icons in this manner ?” : BJP MP Dr Nishikant Dubey

Demand for action against Mohammad Zubair, co-founder of Muslim-leaning ‘Alt News’, for insulting Arya Chanakya

New Delhi – “Can anyone even dare to insult revered figures from Islamic scriptures in such a manner?” – this pointed question was raised by BJP MP from Jharkhand and senior leader Dr Nishikant Dubey, who has demanded strict action against Mohammad Zubair, the co-founder of the Muslim-leaning fact-checking website ‘Alt News’, and a known Hindu-hater.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Dr Dubey stated, “By sharing an image of Arya Chanakya with his shikha (tuft of hair) being cut off, Zubair has not only insulted Hinduism but has deeply hurt our faith and religious sentiments. The Constitution of India mandates jail for such actions. Therefore, the Delhi Police and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting must take strict action against him.”

Dr Dubey further questioned, “Would anyone ever attempt to mock or disrespect any iconic figure from Islamic texts in such a way ?”
