Washington (USA) – Like India, Pakistan has sent its delegations to various countries to explain its stand on terrorism at global level. Recently, a delegation led by Pakistan People’s Party President and former minister Bilawal Bhutto visited the USA. It has been brought forth now that American senator Brad Sherman took the delegation to task. Sherman advised Pakistan to eliminate terrorist organisations and take all necessary steps for the same. Pakistan should also take final action against Pakistan based Jaish-e-Mohammed since this outfit has been responsible for the killing of journalist Daniel Pearl.

Demand to release the doctor who helped in killing Laden

Sherman posted on ‘X’ that – ‘I explained the importance of fighting against terrorism to Pakistan. Action should be taken against especially Jaish-e-Mohammed outfit, responsible for the killing of Daniel Pearl, a journalist from my constituency. I also asked them to release Dr Shakeel Afridi who has been imprisoned for helping the USA in killing Osama Bin Laden. Release of Dr Afridi will be an important step for the aggrieved people of the 9/11 attack.

Condition of minorities in Pakistan is pathetic

Brad Sherman also expressed concern over the condition of religious minorities in Pakistan. He stated that Christians, Hindus and the Ahmadiyya Muslim community should be allowed to observe their religious faiths without any fear, oppression, violence, discrimination or disparity and should be allowed to join the democratic system.

Editorial Perspective

Pakistan will never do it. US should eliminate terrorist organisations with the help of India.
