Social media flooded with messages against ‘Operation Sindoor’: Possible conspiracy of fanatic Muslims

Anti-India messages also being spread

Mumbai – A large number of messages are being circulated on social media against the ‘Operation Sindoor’ carried out by the Indian Defense Forces to teach a lesson to Pakistan. Maharashtra’s cyber-Police have so far removed over 5,000 such messages from various social media; however, several messages are still there on social media, and several are being generated constantly. These also include some anti-national messages. Most of the accounts from which the messages are being circulated have Islamic names. Therefore, it is possible that fanatic Muslims in India are involved in this. These accounts are being investigated by the Police.

1. Maharashtra Cyber ​​Police is working on a war footing to remove anti-India messages and other messages which are spreading rumours about ‘Operation Sindoor’. Some are also spreading rumours about army movements and strategies.

2. Most of the messages are spreading rumours that the actions of Indian Defense Forces are anti-Muslim. Some old and false videos are being circulated on social media to prove this.

3. In this case, the Maharashtra Police arrested an alleged freelance journalist named Rejaz M. Shiba Siddique (age 26) from a hotel in Nagpur. Rejaz is originally from Kerala and has been found to be writing on a news website called ‘Maktoob Media’.

4. After ‘Operation Sindoor’, he had written offensively about Indian soldiers on the website. Earlier, he had written offensively about the actions taken by the Union Government against Naxalism.

5. In Maharashtra and other States, posts spreading rumors about ‘Operation Sindoor’ and Indian soldiers are being circulated on social media platforms like ‘You Tube’, ‘Instagram’, ‘X’ etc.

Such elements, who are trying to create unrest within the country when the country is facing a war situation, must be punished to prevent future crisis.
