Decision by CM considering India-Pakistan war
Mumbai – In a meeting held under Chief Minister (CM) Devendra Fadanvis at his Varsha residence, it has been decided to cancel the leave sanctioned to all senior officers in Health and Disaster Management Departments. CM took review of the security arrangements and readiness of the Police and Administrative machinery in the State. He gave instructions on ‘Mock-drill’ and ‘Black-out’.
Instructions given by CM

1. Conduct Mock-drill in every district
2. Study, in depth, ‘Union War Book’ published by the Union Government and share the information
3. Instruct all municipal corporations under Mumbai Mahanagar region to create awareness about ‘Black-out’. Also include cooperative societies.
4. Considering the possibility of cyber attacks on the Government’s VVIP basic amenities, the Cyber Department may conduct an audit immediately. Invite chiefs of all the three Armed forces in Mumbai and the Coastal Guards, in the future meetings for better cooperation.
5. The Police Department should be more alert. Activities of anti-national persons may increase, so patrolling should be perfect. The Cyber cell of the Police Department in every district should keep a watch on social media and identify the handles helping Pakistan and take action.
6. Take action against those who are providing useful or wrong information to the enemy.
7. Rent fishing trawlers to upgrade coastal security. Set up a system to provide latest and true information to the people.
8. Set up a coordination machinery with hospitals at the time of ‘Black-out’
9. Keep the machinery working through an alternative power system, make arrangements to put dark colour curtains or dark glasses so that light is not seen from outside.
10. Every district collector will be given funds for disaster management which can be utilised to purchase backup material. Any important proposal in this regard may be approved within one hour.
Nobody should take videos of the preparations undertaken by Army and Coastal Guard and post them on social media, instructed Dy CM Eknath Shinde.
