Action against illegal constructions of Bangladeshi infiltrators in Karnavati

Karnavati (Gujarat) – A bulldozer operation has been launched against illegal constructions by Bangladeshi infiltrators in Chandola Lake area near Shah Alam area here. As many as 50 bulldozers have been deployed here. A petition has been filed in the Gujarat High Court against this action. The residents claimed in the court that the demolition was being carried out without following the legal process and rules. “No concrete evidence has been presented to prove that the people living here are Bangladeshis,” the petitioners claimed.

Police have detained 890 suspects from the area in the last two days. Of these, 143 have been identified as Bangladeshi nationals. The operation was launched after the attack at Pahalgam.
