Nationalist ‘fatwa’ of ‘All India Imam Organisation (AIIO)’
New Delhi – ‘All India Imam Organisation (AIIO)’s chief Dr Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi has issued a ‘fatwa’ that no imam (one who gets prayers done in a mosque) or Kazi (Islamic legal expert and judge) would perform last rites on any terrorist killed in the country. No place will be given even for his burial in any cemetery.
Homage to be paid in 5.5 lakh mosques across the country to the victims of terrorist attack
🚫 No graveyard space for dead terrorists! No Imam will perform last rites. Patriotic fatwa by 'All India Imam Organization'!
Congratulations!
Hope the org sees to it that this is followed nationwide & that no Hindu religious processions are attacked from mosques… pic.twitter.com/jxKKcFawKU

Dr Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi condemned the terrorist attack at Pahalgam. The Islamic religious leader offered homage at Imam House, to the dead. He stated that a terrorist has no religion. Let him be of any religion or caste, he is only a terrorist. After revoking clause 370, Kashmir has been on the path of progress which the neighbouring country and terrorist organisations have been unable to stand. The dead will be paid homage in 5.5 lakh mosques in the country.
Editorial PerspectiveCongratulations to AIIO for this ‘fatwa’ ! We should not, however, forget that it took 35 years to issue such ‘fatwa’. AIIO needs to keep a check that its ‘fatwa’ would be observed all over India. It should also try to prevent attacks from mosques on Hindus’ religious processions. |
