Ban on offering prayers on roads and rooftops during Eid in Sambhal (UP)

Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh) – In view of Eid on 30th March, the Police have allowed offering prayers only at mosques and Eidgah grounds. Offering prayers on rooftops, roads, footpaths, etc. has been banned. The Police have also said that action will be taken against those who violate this order.

Keeping in mind the sensitive environment in Sambhal, the administration had called a meeting of the peace committee in view of Eid and Chaitra Navratri. This order was issued  in this meeting.

Editorial Perspective

Offering prayers on roads should never be allowed in the entire country. If anyone is doing so, action must be taken against them !
