No participation of saints and Mahants in the administration of Simhastha

Nashik – “Simhastha Kumbha Mela will adopt the Kumbha Mela Authority Act for Maha Kumbha in UP. There will be Administrative Authority for the Simhastha. The State Government will provide enough funds for the mela,” informed the Chief Minister while speaking to the journalists on 23rd March. The Chief Minister took the darshan of Jyotirlinga and reviewed the development plan of Tryambakeshwar.

The Chief Minister added,
1. I have checked out the Kushvarta Teertha. Seen the presentation of Tryambakeshwar development plan. Simhastha Mela should bring in development for Tryambakeshwar too.
2. Plan worth Rs 1,100 crore is ready for the development of Tryambakeshwar. The plan includes a corridor for darshan, parking space, toilets and restoration of Teertha Kund, ancient temples and according to the survey of Archaeological Department the restoration work in the Main temple and several other facilities.
3. There will be construction of nearly 11 bridges and network of several highways in Nashik. We will take the entire land nearby to create a village for the saints.
4. There will be more Ghats for holy bath with increased facilities. Plan is ready for sewage water treatment plant to provide clean water.
5. We cannot say how many devotees will come to Simhastha. As the time comes, we will know and be prepared.
6. Saints will not participate in the management. That role belongs to the administrative authorities and not to spirituality. Mela authorities will take care of the administration and management; the saints will take care of the spiritual part.
Establishment of Simhastha Mela AuthorityThe saints have demanded that the Chief Minister must take complete responsibility of Simhastha like UP. The Chief Minister assured them of his responsibility and said that the Maharashtra government will have Kumbha Mela Authority Act like that of UP. The Mela authority will be within the framework of Law. |
