Karnataka : Legislation passed giving Muslims 4% reservation in Government Contracts

Bengaluru (Karnataka) –The Karnataka Congress Government has passed a legislation that give Muslims 4% reservation in the Government contracts. BJP fiercely opposed this legislation. They also decided to appeal in the courts against this legislation.

Showing their opposition to the legislation BJP did a lot of sloganeering. Congress allege that some BJP MLAs flung copies of the legislation at the Speaker of the Vidhan Sabha. This caused a lot of commotion in the Vidhan Sabha. The Vidhan Sabha had to be adjourned for some time because of the commotion thus created.
