Idol of Shri Kali Mata vandalised by fanatic Muslims

Basirhat – The idol of Goddess Kali and the Kali Mata Temple in Shankhchura Bazar, Basirhat, were vandalised by religious fanatic Muslims. The mob was reportedly led by local Trinamool Congress leader Shahanoor Mondal.

1. BJP leader Dilip Ghosh, in a social media post, stated that the idol of Kali Mata has been damaged and that the attack was carried out under the leadership of local TMC
leader Shahanoor Mondal.

2. BJP national leader Amit Malviya also lashed out at the ruling dispensation in the State for failing to safeguard Hindu temples and idols of Deities. He said, “After Jadavpur, another incident has emerged – an idol of Goddess Kali has been vandalised in Shankhchura Bazar, located in the Basirhat South Assembly constituency. Once again, the local Trinamool MLA might dismiss this as a BJP conspiracy or even claim that Hindus themselves are behind it as part of a plot. Will Mamata Banerjee finally address the alarming rise in atrocities against Hindus over the past five days ?”

3. Bengal BJP State President Dr Sukanta Majumdar said, “After forcibly entering the temple at Shankhchura Bazar, the hands, feet, and head of the Goddess Kali idol were broken. Local Hindus are also being threatened with death by the fanatical fundamentalist group of Shahanoor Mondal. The Police are silent. Mamata Banerjee, enough is enough! If you consider West Bengal to be ‘Greater Bangladesh,’ then you are living in a false paradise. As long as we are alive, we will not allow you to hurt the sentiments of Sanatan Hindu devotees. If there is any attack on the Hindus of the State or their religious sentiments, the Bharatiya Janata Party will give a fitting response.”
