Fights erupt in the dining hall of Delhi’s South Asian University for serving Non-Veg food on Mahashivratri

New Delhi – Two groups of students came to blows at the dining hall of South Asian University as non-veg food was served on Mahashivratri day. After this Congress’s ‘Student Federation of India’ and BJP’s ‘Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’ accused each other for initiating the violence in the University. The video of the incident is viral on social media. While the University Administration has not yet given any reaction about the incident, the Police say that no complaint has been filed yet.

1. According to the information given by the students the University has two dining halls. In one of them non-veg food was served on the 26th February the day of Mahashivratri. When students affiliated to ABVP forced themselves into the dining hall and tried to grab the food, a student who was responsible for the dining hall opposed it then the fight broke out.

2. To this the ABVP’s response was that some leftist students were trying to break their fast. And giving non-veg food on Mahashivratri is Intellectual terrorism.
