Accused Apoorva Chawda Confesses to contaminating prasad

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) – Apoorva Chawda, one of the accused arrested in the case of mixing animal fat in the cow ghee used for making Tirupati temple’s prasad laddus, has confessed to the crime, according to reports.

Apoorva also admitted to the crime during interrogation by the Special Task Force officers. He confessed to mixing chemicals in the ghee supplied for making laddus. Apoorva is a chemical engineering graduate.

Bipin Jain and Pomil Jain, brothers from Bholababa Dairy in Uttarakhand, along with Apoorva Vinaykant Chawda, CEO of Vaishnavi Dairy, and Raju Rajasekaran of A.R. Dairy, have been arrested.
