Thane – The one-sided portrayal of Islamic invaders as good and competent kings and creating an inferiority complex amongst the original citizens (Hindus) of this country should be immediately changed.

The history of this country should be re-written to present the truth before the people of this country, was one of the important demands made by HVP. Advocate Virendra Ichalkaranjikar, the national president of HVP informed ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ that a letter has been written by HVP to the Directors of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) for this demand.
📜 Rewriting history textbooks is essential to present the truth to the nation! – Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad writes to NCERT with a Demand
Despite a Hindutva-oriented BJP government for 10.5 years, only a National Education Policy (NEP) was introduced. Now, it’s time to go… pic.twitter.com/ok5bXwv3n4

A few members of HVP checked the history text books available on NCERT’s website on history and they found that the depiction of history in the text books was not proper from the viewpoint of Indians since the books have tried to hide the inhumane and barbaric invasion by Islamic rulers and they have been shown as competent administrators and rulers of the country.
Further, there has been no mention of the forceful fanatic conversions imposed by those barbaric Islamic rulers on the people of India. There has also been no reference to Islamic invaders killing or imprisoning their own fathers, brutally killing their own brothers for power and forcibly appointing themselves as emperors in the present history textbooks.
Following are some of the false descriptions given in the history text books :
A. In the text of Social Science for seventh standard, there is a false description of protected people. In this text book, Changez Khan and Taimur are described as great kings. Mughals were the great descendants of two great dynasties. On their maternal side, they were the descendants of Changez Khan while on paternal side, they were the successors of Taimur. In what context, Indians would think of Changez Khan and Taimur as great ?
In the eighth chapter, there is a wrong depiction of the history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This chapter has a reference to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj but in a very casual manner. There is nothing about Mughal oppressions or perversions of Islamic rulers thrust upon local people.
Thus, the book portrays the wrong history of Mughals and earlier Islamic rulers as secular and brave instead of their actual barbaric rule.
HVP has, therefore, demanded that NCERT should take steps to change the false history published and taught through these textbooks.
Editorial PerspectiveIn the last ten years, pro-Hindu BJP is ruling at the Centre and an important decision was taken to form the national education policy. Now, it is further necessary to teach history of bravery of Hindu kings by replacing the false glorification of invaders so that the young generation would know the truth. Congratulations to Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad (HVP) for its demand ! All Hindus should extensively support this demand. |
