The Imam of the Jama Masjid at Sambhal calls the Azaan vocally, not on loudspeakers

The result of the ban on Loudspeakers

(Imam is the one who leads the prayer in a Mosque)

(Azaan is calling the Muslims to namaz from the Mosque’s rooftop in a loud voice)

Sambhal (Uttar Pradesh) – A video is broadcasted showing the Imam standing on the rooftop of Jama Masjid, that is built in the site of the Shri Harihar Temple of Sambhal, and giving Azaan, without using the loudspeakers as it was done earlier. There is a ban on Loudspeakers at the religious places in Uttar Pradesh. The Police have removed the loudspeakers that were on illegal religious places or were playing at a higher decibel than the permitted level. Even after the ban the loudspeaker was used for Azaan at the Jama Masjid. Then the Police took action against the Imam of the Masjid. To date Imams of 3 Masjid in Sambhal have been indicted for using the loudspeaker for the Azaan inspite of the ban.

Editorial Perspective

If this can happen in Sambhal then it is time that it was implemented country wide. The law- abiding Hindus feel that that with BJP government in the Centre and in more than 18 States this is not impossible.
