Maharashtra has become ‘entertainment tax free’ forever in the year 2017 : Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister

Mumbai – Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s bravery, heroism and scholarship were immense; but history did great injustice to him. A very good film has been made based on such Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. This film was made without any distortion of history. For that, I congratulate the producer, director and actor Vicky Kaushal of the film. There is a huge demand to make this film tax free. Other states make films tax free, at that time entertainment tax is waived; but Maharashtra has abolished entertainment tax forever in the year 2017. We do not have any tax to make films tax free; but we will try to do what can be done better for the publicity of this film or to make the history of Chhatrapati Shambhuraj available to everyone. We will show those who insult Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj their place. The government and Shivpremi will not forgive them.’’
