We will work harder to serve the people of Delhi — PM Narendra Modi
“The victory is a triumph of development and good governance. I bow to all brothers and sisters of Delhi who granted us this historic win. We have received blessings from all, for which I am deeply grateful. There is no doubt that Delhi will witness all-round development, and we will leave no stone unturned to improve the lives of Delhiites. Delhi will play a crucial role in building a developed India. I am proud of BJP’s activists who toiled hard for this victory. We will now work harder to serve Delhi,” said Prime Minister Modi.
Parvesh Verma could be the next Chief Minister
BJP MLA Parvesh Verma defeated Arvind Kejriwal by 3,182 votes and is being considered a probable candidate for Chief Minister. His father, Sahib Singh Verma, served as Delhi CM during BJP’s rule in the 1990s and was also Union Labour Minister under Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Government.
BJP gains 40 seats while AAP loses 40 seats

Kejriwal’s downfall
In 2020, Kejriwal became CM for the third time but later resigned after the liquor scam allegations, following imprisonment. He served for 4 years, 7 months, and 6 days before appointing Atishi as CM. Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia lost the Jangpura Constituency by 600 votes and remarked, “We worked hard, but the people’s decision was not in our favour. We accept this decision.”
Tahir Hussain, accused in the 2020 Delhi riots, defeated
Tahir Hussain, an AAP councillor accused in the 2020 Delhi riots, contested from the Muslim-majority Mustafabad constituency on an AIMIM ticket but was defeated by BJP’s Mohan Singh Bisht. Hussain stood fourth, while AAP and Congress candidates came second and third, respectively. Since the BJP candidate won in a Muslim-majority area, it is being said that Muslims voted for the BJP.
We accept people’s decision – Congress
Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit said, “We put forth our agenda but perhaps the people felt we wouldn’t form the Government. We respect the people’s decision.”
We exposed AAP’s false promises – BJP
“Our candidates worked hard, and Delhi voters chose development and a corruption-free Government. AAP gave false promises. We contested the election on real issues like broken roads, liquor policy controversy, poor water supply, and corruption while exposing AAP’s false promises to the public,” said BJP’s winning candidate and State President Virendra Sachdeva.
