Kangana Ranaut’s movie ‘Emergency’ faces protest from Khalistanis in London

Protesters enter cinema halls and raise slogans

London (UK) – BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut’s movie ‘Emergency’ has been released everywhere. The film has been well-received by the audience, with widespread appreciation for Kangana Ranaut’s acting, writing, and direction. However, on the other hand, Khalistani supporters are opposing the film. During the film’s release in the UK, Khalistanis staged protests. A group of Khalistanis entered a cinema hall in London and raised slogans. They are accusing the film of tarnishing the image of Sikhs and misrepresenting history. Protests against the film have also occurred in Punjab. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has called for a ban on the film’s screening.

1. While the film ‘Emergency’ was being screened in a cinema in London, Khalistanis suddenly barged in and started raising slogans, demanding that the film be stopped. These Khalistanis shouted slogans of ‘Khalistan Zindabad’ in the cinema hall and also used abusive language against India.

2. The protesters created a tense environment in the cinema hall by attempting to halt the screening. After the audience inside the hall opposed the Khalistanis, they fled the scene.

No action by the British Police

Despite the ruckus caused by the Khalistanis, the British Police took no action against them. (Earlier too, Khalistanis had attacked the Indian Embassy there, and the Police had remained mere spectators. Does this suggest that British Police are supportive of Khalistani elements ? – Editor) This has raised questions about the role of the British Government and administration.

Editorial Perspective

The UK has become a safe haven for Khalistanis. To stop such incidents, the Indian Government must now put pressure on the UK !
