Khalistan critic Indian-origin MP Chandra Arya claims candidacy for Canadian Prime Ministership

MP Chandra Arya

Toronto (Canada) – After Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced his resignation, a new Prime Minister is set to be appointed soon. The ruling Liberal Party will select a new leader for the position. Several names are being considered for this role, including three individuals of Indian origin. Among them, MP Chandra Arya has openly declared his intention to run for Prime Minister.

In a post on ‘X’, Chandra Arya said, ‘Many Canadians, especially younger generations, face significant affordability issues. Working middle class is struggling today, and many working families are retiring directly into poverty. Canada deserves leadership that isn’t afraid to make the big decisions. Decisions that rebuild our economy, restore hope, create equal opportunities for all Canadians, and secure prosperity for our children and grandchildren. With prudence and pragmatism as my guiding principles, I’m stepping forward to take on this responsibility and lead Canada as its next Prime Minister (sic)’.

Chandra Arya, originally from the Sira Taluk in Tumakuru District of Karnataka, moved to Canada in 2006. He holds an MBA from the Kousali Institute of Management Studies, Dharwad. Arya contested his first federal election in 2015, won, and became a member of Parliament. He has frequently criticised the activities of Khalistanis.
