Firozabad (Uttar Pradesh) – A Shiva Temple that had been closed for the past 30 years has been found in a Muslim-dominated area. As soon as the information about the temple was received, members of the Hindu organizations reached there and cleaned it. They also recited Hanuman Chalisa. Before that, the administration opened the locks of the temple. There was no opposition at this time. Locals said that, earlier, a Hindu family lived in this area, which built this temple; but the family shifted subsequently. According to the information given by the city magistrate Rajendra Singh, this temple is about 60 years old. It was built in the year 1963.
Local Hindus have described the opening of the temple as a restoration of their religious rights. Members of a Hindu organization have announced that an idol will soon be installed at the temple.
