Attempt to install Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s photo in the temple

Mathura (Uttar Pradesh) – Some youths broke the idols of Hindu Deities in a local temple here and threw them outside the temple. These youths also burnt the pictures of the Deities in the temple. After this, an attempt was made to install Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar’s photo in the temple. The accused attacking the temple belonged to the Scheduled Caste. This incident happened on the night of 26thDecember in Udiagadhi village of Mathura. The police have registered a case against the accused.
The villagers gathered as soon as they learned about the vandalism in the temple. Seeing them the culprits fled. The police were called later. They repaired the temple temporarily pacifying the angry villagers. Police are maintaining security there currently.
