MP Hema Malini raises the issue of attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh in Lok Sabha

New Delhi – During Zero Hour in the Lok Sabha, BJP MP from Mathura, Hema Malini, raised the issue of atrocities against Hindus in Bangladesh. She expressed deep anguish over the attacks on Hindus and their temples, especially ISKCON centres and devotees.
Hema Malini stated, “It pains me deeply to see what is happening to our Hindu brethren and temples in Bangladesh, particularly ISKCON and its devotees. I am distressed. Hindu temples are under constant attack, the safety of Hindu minorities is at risk, and they are being persecuted by extremists. This is not merely a foreign relations issue; it is a matter of emotions for Krishna devotees in India.”
Key Points from Hema Malini’s Speech:
ISKCON has established itself globally with around 1,000 centres today. It is renowned worldwide for spreading Vedic culture. I myself am a Krishna devotee and a follower of ISKCON.
Krishna resides in my heart, and I represent Mathura, his sacred land. The attacks in neighbouring Bangladesh are causing immense pain not only to me but also to Krishna devotees across India.
Editorial PerspectivePlease note despite a majority of Hindu MPs in the Lok Sabha, only Hema Malini is raising this critical issue. |
