A Gutkha packet was found in 2012

Tirupati (Andhra Pradesh) – After the revelation that animal fat based ghee was used to make prasad laddus at the Tirupati Balaji Temple, now a paper packet containing tobacco has been found in the laddus. Dontu Padmavati, a resident of Karthikeya Nagar in Rural area of Khammam District, went to Tirupati Temple on 19thSeptember and performed puja. After that she carried prasad laddus from there. On September 22, when she took out the laddus to distribute prasad to neighbours, she found the packet in it, she said.

Gutkha, alcohol, smoking and meat are strictly prohibited within the premises of Tirumala Tirupati Balaji Temple. While this is the case, the question has also been raised as to how tobacco came in this laddu. Due to this incident, suspicion has increased on some of the employees there. Even in 2012, a Gutkha packet was found in a laddu in Tirupati.
