New Delhi – Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has resigned and Atishi Singh, who was the Education Minister in his government, will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi. The swearing in of the new Chief Minister and Cabinet will be held this week. A 2-day session of the Legislative Assembly has been convened on 26 and 27 September.
On 13th September, Kejriwal announced his resignation as chief minister after being granted bail by the Supreme Court in the liquor policy scam case. He had said that people should decide whether I am honest or dishonest. If the people wash this stain and win the assembly elections, then I will sit on the post of chief minister again.
