Former US President Donald Trump escapes another assassination attempt

Florida (USA) – On 15th September, former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump narrowly escaped a shooting incident that took place outside the Trump Golf Club in Palm Beach, Florida. At the time of the shooting, Trump was playing golf in the club. Trump remains safe, but following the incident, American Police and intelligence agencies are reviewing security at the golf course. Reports suggest that this was another attempt to assassinate Trump. The attacker was positioned 300 to 500 meters away from him. A similar incident occurred a few days earlier when shots were fired at Trump during a public speech.

The incident occurred around 2 am IST. Intelligence agency officials confirmed that they are investigating the incident. Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., mentioned that a suspect hiding in the golf course’s bushes was apprehended.

The Washington Post also reported on the incident, stating that as soon as the shots were fired, Secret Service agents escorted Trump to a room within the club for his safety.

Following the shooting, Trump sent an email to his supporters, saying, ‘I will never back down. Shots were fired around me, but don’t believe the rumors. I am safe and well. No one can stop me’.

US Vice President Kamala Harris, a Democratic presidential candidate, commented on the shooting, stating, ‘I heard about the shooting involving former President Trump. I am relieved to hear that he is safe. There is no place for violence in America’.
