Ayodhya (UP) – Between January 2024 and June 2024, a total of 11 crore devotees visited Shri Ramlalla for darshan. This figure was released by the tourism department of Uttar Pradesh. Interestingly, the number of tourists during this six-month period surpasses the total number of tourists who visited Uttar Pradesh in the entire year of 2023, according to the department.

1. In the first six months of 2024, Uttar Pradesh saw 32.98 crore tourists. In the same period last year, the number was 19.60 crore.
2. This year, there has been an increase of 13.38 crore tourists compared to last year. Foreign tourists have particularly preferred visiting Varanasi and the Taj Mahal in Agra.
3. This year, more than 7 lakh foreign tourists visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, while 1.33 lakh tourists visited the city of Varanasi.
4. A total of 48 crore tourists visited various destinations in Uttar Pradesh, as stated by the State’s Tourism Minister, Jaiveer Singh.
