Kolkata – The strike of junior doctors in connection with the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Radha Gobind Kar Medical College and Hospital on 9thAugust continues for the 32nd day. The health department had called the doctors for a meeting on 10thSeptember. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee also came for this meeting. She waited an hour and a half for the delegation of the doctors; but as they did not come, Mamata Banerjee left. Explaining the reason for refusing to come to the meeting, the doctors said, “The one from whom we (Principal Secretary of Health Department) are seeking resignation is the one who is calling us for the meeting. This is an insult to our movement”.
