Vidisha (Madhya Pradesh) – District Collector Buddhesh Kumar Vaidya, who had denied permission to Hindus to perform puja on Nag Panchami at Vijay Surya Temple here, has been transferred. The temple is under the control of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). When ASI declared the temple to be ‘Bijmandal Mosque’, the Collector denied permission to Hindus to worship.

Editorial Perspective

It’s commendable that the State Government took action. Now, the Union Government should also take action against the ASI officials who declared the temple as a mosque.
