Israeli defense system intercepts all 50 missiles fired by Hezbollah at Israel

Conflict between Israel and terrorist groups

While battling Hamas in Gaza and Rafah, Israel now faces attacks from Hezbollah on the Lebanon border.

Tel Aviv (Israel) – It is reported that Israel has killed Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh while he was residing in Iran’s capital, Tehran. This has raised concerns of potential retaliatory attacks from both Hamas and Iran. Amid these tensions, the Iran-backed group Hezbollah launched a barrage of 50 missiles at Israel. On the evening of August 3, these missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards northern Israel. However, Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system successfully intercepted and neutralised all the missiles, many of them mid-air, resulting in no damage to Israel.

Israel is currently engaged in multiple fronts of conflict. While battling Hamas in Gaza and Rafah, it now faces attacks from Hezbollah on the Lebanon border. Iran is also preparing actions against Israel. Earlier on August 3, an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon’s Bajjariyeh killed a key Hezbollah operative, Ali Abd Ali.
