Washington DC (USA) – India’s fertility rate in the educated class has gone below the ‘replacement rate’ some years back. The total fertility rate in India has reduced and come to approximately 1.9, while the replacement rate is considered to be 2.1. This can, in the long run have a great impact on the demographic structure of the country.
