Elon Musk flags concern over declining Fertility rate in India!

Washington DC (USA) – India’s fertility rate in the educated class has gone below the ‘replacement rate’ some years back. The total fertility rate in India has reduced and come to approximately 1.9, while the replacement rate is considered to be 2.1. This can, in the long run have a great impact on the demographic structure of the country. Elon Musk owner of ‘Tesla’ and ‘Space X’ expressed this concern in a post on ‘X’, here he cited a report about this.

The report claims that Delhi’s fertility rate has gone down to approximately 1.2, which is being considered as being lower than that in many developed countries. According to experts, the continuing decline in the family size in urban areas is due to to factors such as higher education levels, changing lifestyles, and economic pressures.
