Court Orders Framing of Charges against ‘Popular Front of India’

Plot to turn India an Islamic country by 2047

New Delhi – Muslim groups have been involved in a plan to establish a Shariat-based system in India by 2047 by weakening the country’s democratic structure. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) informed the court that under this plan, a mechanism was being developed that could have worked towards an armed struggle. Taking these facts into consideration, the Special NIA Court has ordered that charges be framed against the Muslim leaders allegedly involved in the plan and the Popular Front of India (PFI).

In 2022, the NIA conducted raids in various parts of the country and arrested 20 PFI leaders. The above information came to light during the investigation. Subsequently, the organization was banned.
