7 to 8 temple thefts reported in a year in Kalyan-Dombivli

Kalyan – Thieves stole Rs 15,000 and 14 brass vessels from the Vitthal-Rukmini temple at Khadegolvali in Kalyan East. The thief had kept a watch at the temple and entered the temple by opening the main entrance door with a sharp knife. The donation box in the pradakshina path of the temple and 14 brass vessels meant for pooja have been stolen. The theft has been captured on CCTV. In the last year, 7-8 temples in Kalyan-Dombivli have been robbed and the thieves have stolen the donation boxes.
When the priest arrived to open the temple in the morning, he found that the main door of the temple was broken, and a robbery had taken place. The priest immediately informed the treasurer of the temple, Jagdish Balkrishna Tare.
