Maulavi arrested for raping a Hindu woman during treatment

Wadala Gaon (Dist. Nashik) – A maulavi named Hussain Yasim Shaikh raped a 19-year- old married woman under the pretext of curing her illness. The incident occurred when the victim’s husband and mother-in-law took her to Hussain Yasim Shaikh for treatment as she was suffering from chronic stomach pain. Following the victim’s complaint, the maulavi has been arrested.

Shaikh claimed that the woman was possessed by a ghost. He gave her a drug that made her lose consciousness. While she was unconscious, he raped her and threatened to kill her if she disclosed about the incident.
