Mumbai – The heavy rains beginning on the night of July 24 have heavily impacted traffic conditions. The Andheri subway is closed as water levels have risen to 6 to 7 feet. An accident on the sea coast road has halted traffic in that area, and vehicles and buses are stuck in various locations, leading to widespread disruption.

Among the seven dams supplying water to Mumbai, Tulsi, Tansa, and Vihar are currently overflowing. The total water storage across these dams stands at 66.77 percent, providing enough supply for Mumbai’s needs for the next 241 days, until March 2025. Additionally, Modak Sagar Dam is 98 percent full.
