Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s tiger claw (Wagh Nakhe) to arrive in Maharashtra by special plane

Mumbai – On the 19thof July, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s tiger claw (Wagh Nakhe), which he used to tear the intestine of Afzal Khan and kill him, will be brought in a special plane to Maharashtra. The weapon shall be kept on display at Satara’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum. A grand celebration will be held to welcome the weapon. The Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar, Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, and other dignitaries will be present.

The tiger claw will be brought for a period of 3 years from London’s ‘Victoria and Albert Museum’. For the next 10 months, it will be on display at Satara’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum. Later it will be kept on display at other Government Museums. The weapon shall be sent back to ‘Victoria and Albert Museum’ after 3 years. (It is necessary that the Government endeavours to get this historic weapon back to India permanently – Editor).

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, by tearing Afzal Khan’s intestines using this tiger claw, had shown how to end terrorism. So, it won’t be surprising if those who demanded to ban the picture depicting Afzal Khan’s killing, also demand to ban the display of this tiger claw.
