Apology from Congress MLA Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy in Telangana

The Congress legislator, Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy apologising

Hyderabad (Telangana) – A ruling Congress MLA in Telangana landed in a controversy after his Bakri Eid greetings on social media included a graphic image of a cow, drawing sharp response from the BJP. The Congress legislator, Kumbam Anil Kumar Reddy, later apologised for the “inadvertent error”, even as the post was removed from all related social media accounts.

In this poster, a mosque was painted on the body of a cow in green. In the upper part of this picture there are pictures of Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Vadra etc.

Congress hurt the sentiments of Hindus again ! – MLA T Raja Singh

BJP MLA T Raja Singh of Goshamahal Assembly Constituency, taking exception to the image of a cow in Reddy’s Bakri Eid greetings criticized that Hindus are insulted wherever Congress forms Government. While there is nothing objectionable about greeting people on the occasion of Bakri Eid, what message does the MLA want to convey ?, asked T Raja Singh who is known for his strong Hindutva views.

Editorial Perspective

Just because he has apologized; we should not let him go, but should file a case against him and imprison him. Furthermore, swift action should be taken against him in Fast-Track Court to teach a lesson !

If Reddy would have insulted the religious places of Muslims, a fatwa of ‘Sar tan se juda’ would have been issued against him. Since Hindus are tolerant and asleep, they are inactive about their religious sentiments.
