Washington DC (USA) – A few days ago, North Korea launched a spy satellite, but it exploded. Following this, the US condemned North Korea in an emergency United Nations Security Council meeting. The US’ allies supported its position. On the other hand, China and Russia supported North Korea. ‘North Korea has violated UN resolutions by testing a satellite. The test poses a threat to the peace and disarmament of the Korean Peninsula, the US says.
The representative of the United States said that North Korea is rapidly and illegally increasing its weapons production programme. The countries in the Security Council should think about this so that action can be taken against North Korea.
