Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde announces pilgrimage scheme for senior citizens
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde added, “Maharashtra is a land of Saints, and every year many people visit the holy places.
2nd day of Chardham Yatra : Massive crowd on narrow 4 km stretch leading to Yamunotri
At Yamunotri, a crowd of around 8,000 devotees gathered on a narrow stretch of road, designed to accommodate only 1,000-2,000 people at a time.

The heavy crowd at Surat station was of passengers travelling to Bihar for Diwali and Chhath festival.

Ghanwat also requested the CM to organise a meeting of temple trustees and organisations interested in conserving forts.
The Amarnath Yatra begins on 1st July
By 28th June, 3 lakhs plus pilgrims had registered for the Yatra. This number is 10% more than last year’s number.
