To defend the illegal constructions, Gujarat Congress Vice President Nusrat Panja stated that the demolished structures were 700 to 800 years old and had special protection during the reign of the Nawab of Junagadh.
During an interview with ‘Zee News’ on September 28, Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasised that the administration will take further action if the illegal mosque is not demolished within the given timeframe.
It is shameful for the administration that Hindu organisations have to protest to remove an illegal mosque.

Reportedly, 3 floors have been illegally constructed on top of a mosque in Sanjauli. Shimla Municipal Commissioner Bhupendra Atri said that only one floor was allowed here.
During the hearing, the Solicitor General of India, Tushar Mehta, stated that no property was demolished solely because the owner was accused of a crime.
