Hindus conduct protest march against illegal mosque in Shimla (Himachal Pradesh)

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) – The locals united to conduct a protest march in the market area against an illegal mosque in Sanjauli area of ​​the city. They demanded demolishing of the illegal mosque. They staged a sit-in protest in front of the said mosque, recited Hanuman Chalisa and sang bhajans. On getting information about this matter, Superintendent of Police and District Magistrate reached the location and spoke to the protesters.

Reportedly, 3 floors have been illegally constructed on top of a mosque in Sanjauli. Shimla Municipal Commissioner Bhupendra Atri said that only one floor was allowed here. The other three floors are illegal. The matter will be heard in the Court soon and action will be taken as per the law.

Agitation against attack by a Muslim

A few days ago, there was a clash between Hindus and Muslims in Malyana village of Shimla. At that time, a person from the Muslim community attacked a local shopkeeper named Yashpal Singh. Yashpal Singh was hit on the head and had 14 stitches on his head. The locals had protested alleging that the Muslim attacker had tried to kill Yashpal Singh.
