The High Court of Karnataka has upheld the Karnataka Government’s decision to ban the hijab in all schools and colleges across Karnataka. However, a petition has been filed against it in the Supreme Court.
A memorandum of appeal by Hindu Janjagruti Samiti was given to Education Minister B.C. Nagesh, and Sunil Kumar Minister of Kannad and Culture; urging them to put a request in the legislative assembly, that the education given in the Madarsas be banned.
