ISKCON leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu

Dhaka (Bangladesh) – ISKCON member and Hindu leader Chinmoy Krishna Das Prabhu has been arrested in Bangladesh. He was arrested from Dhaka airport in an alleged sedition case. It is said that the arrest was made to prevent them from leaving the country. Chinmoy Prabhu has consistently condemned violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. On 22^ndNovember, he took out a march in support of Hindus at Rangpur.

In October 2024, 19 activists of Hindu organisations, including Chinmoy Prabhu, were booked for sedition for hoisting the saffron flag over the Bangladesh flag during a protest.

India should put pressure on Bangladesh for the security of Chinmay Prabhu, who inspired Bangladeshi Hindus to organise and fight against atrocities.
