Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri’s appeal to Hindus in Bangladesh
Jhansi (UP) – “If Hindus in Bangladesh remain cowardly, they will not escape their plight. If my message reaches them through your media (news channel), they must take to the streets, just as we are organising Padyatra here. Unite to protect the defender of your culture (Chinmaya Prabhu) and free him. Otherwise, one by one, your temples will be turned into mosques, and your sisters and daughters will either be converted or killed. Hindus in India should also take note of this,” appealed Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, during the Sanatan Hindu Jagruti Padyatra from Bageshwar to Orchha, while addressing a gathering in Jhansi.
Highlights of Shastri’s address,
1. We stand with Bangladeshi Hindus
I am living day and night risking my life. Out of concern for the 100 crore Hindus, we are visiting villages and streets to engage with the backward and underprivileged. We stand with the Hindus of Bangladesh. We urge you, take to the streets. Otherwise, no one will raise voice for Hindus in future.
2. Religious fanatics resort to violence where they are in the majority
In many Indian states, Hindus have become minorities. Wherever religious fanatics are in large numbers, this happens. We have these people all around us too but they do not do that here. However, in areas where they are a majority, they launch attacks. This proves that they (religious fanatic Muslims) plan their actions based on their population and premeditate their assaults. Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri also alleged that everyone from stone pelters, arsonists, petrol bomb throwers are brought in from outside.
3. If we unite 1 crore staunch Hindus, no one will be able to challenge Sanatan for thousands of years
Today is Constitution Day (26th November), marking the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. If I can unite even 1 crore staunch Hindus out of 100 crores, no one can challenge Sanatan Dharma for thousands of years.
India on the path to becoming Bangladesh – Union Minister Giriraj Singh
Union Minister Giriraj Singh, participating in the Padyatra, expressed grave concern that, “Our minds are very frightened by the thought that ‘India is on the path to becoming Bangladesh’. The Constitution is being mocked by taking the law in hand. Tomorrow they will not listen to anyone. The situation in the country will go out of control; then who will save the Hindus ? Therefore, let us maintain our strength. We need such Padyatra to remind Hindus to raise their voices strongly to save their culture.”
Editorial PerspectiveThis appeal should not be just for Bangladesh but for India too. Hindus worldwide must unite under the motto, ‘Ek Hain Toh Safe Hain’ (United we are safe). Just as Muslims unite globally when they face a religious crisis, Hindus must also come together to protect their identity. |
