Pakistan should discuss with India regarding the Kashmir issue

Saudi Arabia warns Pakistan PM during Saudi Arabian tour

Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) – Pakistan’s newly elected Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has gone on his first foreign tour to Saudi Arabia; however, Saudi Arabia has rebuffed Shahbaz Sharif on the Kashmir issue. Saudi Arabia seemed to support India’s stand on Jammu and Kashmir in a joint statement signed with Pakistan, asking both countries to resolve their “outstanding issues” bilaterally. The joint statement was issued a day after Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi de-facto ruler Prince Mohammed bin Salman held an official meeting at Al-Safa Palace in Mecca. Pakistan is advocating for Kashmir’s cause on international platforms alongside other countries. India’s long-held position on Kashmir has been that it was a bilateral issue between the two countries and there is no question of any mediation or intervention by any third party.

Editorial Perspective

India has already made it clear that ‘Until Pakistan stops carrying out terrorist activities in India, India will not engage in any discussions with Pakistan’. The condition of ‘protecting Hindus in Pakistan’ should be added to it now !
