Beef-filled samosas sold at ‘Husaini Samosawala’ shop in Vadodara (Gujarat)

6 Muslims arrested

Vadodara (Gujarat) – Police raided the famous ‘Husaini Samosawala’ shop in Vadodara and arrested six people identified as Yusuf Sheikh, Naseem Sheikh, Hanif Bhatiyara, Dilawar Pathan, Moin Hapdal, and Mobin Sheikh. They were allegedly selling samosas filled with beef at this shop. The Police seized ingredients used for making the samosas and about a hundred kilograms of beef stock from the shop.

The Police stated that some customers were unknowingly purchasing these beef-filled samosas considering them as meat-filled samosas. Deputy Commissioner of Police Panna Momaya informed that the accused were producing a large quantity of raw samosas to be sold at the shop, where they were fried and served to customers. The Police are investigating how long the beef samosas were being sold and the source of the beef.

Editorial Perspective

Efforts to mix either spit or beef in the food items at Muslim-owned eateries have often been exposed. Considering this, it should not be surprising if Hindus boycott such shops.
