Kolhapur (Maharashtra) – Balwant Jhanjge and Sagar Jhanjge from Hanmantwadi were watching the IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad in a house. Both of them were in favour of ‘Mumbai Indians’. Both were very angry as Hyderabad scored a mountain of runs in the match. As Rohit Sharma of ‘Mumbai Indians’ was dismissed while chasing runs, Bandopant Tibile, a fan of ‘Chennai Super Kings’, reached the place and expressed his happiness saying ‘How will Mumbai win if Rohit Sharma is dismissed ?’ Due to this, Balwant Jhanjge and Sagar Jhanjge beat Tibile and broke his head. Tibile was seriously injured and died. Balwant and Sagar have been arrested by Karveer police in this case.

Editorial Perspective

IPL (Indian Premier League) match is played for purely commercial purposes. From this, the organisations and the players they buy make a lot of money. In such a situation, it can be seen how much the quality of the ideological and emotional level of the people has deteriorated due to such horrific incidents.
