Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) – A scam has come to light asking devotees to pay money in the name of facilitating darshan of Shriram at the Shriram Temple here. Some people were extracting money from devotees by assuring them easy darshan. Even a Police constable from Uttar Pradesh was involved in this. Now action is being taken against him. It is important to note that no money is charged from anyone for darshan in any temple in Ayodhya, as confirmed by Champat Rai, the General-Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Police constable Upendranath, who was involved in collecting money from people for darshan, has been arrested. A departmental inquiry will be conducted. He was posted at the Rambhoomi Police station.

Champat Rai said that the darshan of Shri Ramlalla is absolutely free. The darshan of Shri Ramlalla is very easy and all devotees should not fall prey to anyone’s lures for darshan. Devotees living in India and outside India are requested to come and have darshan of Shri Ramlalla like common people. It takes only 1 hour from the entrance of the temple premises to the exit after darshan.
