Religious fanatic arrested for posting ‘Bajrang Bali ne Islam qubool kiya’ WhatsApp status

Police take action after the complaint from devout Hindus

Bajrang Dal District Convener Akash Jadhav

Miraj – A religious fanatic named Sahil Gaus Patel, residing in Mujawar Galli, behind Mirasaheb dargah, Miraj, posted a video status on WhatsApp saying ‘Bajrang Bali ne Islam Qubool Kiya’ (Bajrang Bali accepted Islam) on 16th and 17th March. The video depicted a monkey, revered as the symbol of the Hindu Deity Hanuman, bowing in prayer (performing namaz) while wearing a round cap.

This status provoked a strong reaction among Hindus and devout Hindu families, sparking widespread anger. Despite numerous requests from concerned individuals, Sahil refused to remove the offensive video. Consequently, Abhishek Patil, Rakesh Koli, Santosh Shahapurkar, District Convener of Bajrang Dal Akash Jadhav, and several other devout Hindus lodged a complaint against him for offending the religious sentiments of Hindus. Miraj City Police have arrested Sahil for his actions. He has been remanded in Police custody for 3 days, while further investigation is ongoing.

We shall take to the streets to thwart the efforts of religious fanatics : Bajrang Dal

Religious fanatics are making deliberate attempts to disrupt the harmony in the society by sowing division through social media, posting content deliberately designed to offend the sentiments of Hindus. The Bajrang Dal warned that they would take to the streets and protest if required to thwart such efforts and maintain social peace.

Anti-Hindu media

The entire Hindu community, along with Hindu organisations, has noted that newspapers and media outlets have chosen not to disseminate this news, except ‘Dainik Pratidhwani’. (It would not come as a surprise if, in the future, Hindus opt to boycott media outlets that fail to cover atrocities against Hindus and neglect to spotlight the wrongdoing of religious fanatics ! – Editor).

Editorial Perspectives

Commendable efforts by the Hindus who acted promptly in legitimate ways to prevent further defamation. Such devout Hindus are the real strength of Hindu Dharma.
